Driving change

Big changes can start with the smallest spark. There are plenty of ways to have a voice:

  • Environmental Activism can be a powerful tool at both local and national levels.
  • Healthcare conferences can be a golden opportunity to highlight issues and push for change more widely.
  • Lobby for change within healthcare – our Template Letter is flexible so you can tailor it to your goals.
  • Weave environmental sustainability into teaching and everyday practice. Our Planetary Health Cases give some great examples of climate issues affecting a wide variety of people.
  • Take on leadership roles and lead from the front for the environment.

Why not get involved with Greener Practice nationally or with your local group?

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Some of our local groups have worked together to create change at a regional or national level. Greener Practice network members in Scotland worked to successfully create a discussion paper for the Chief Medical Officer. The paper offers ideas and practical policy changes.
