Greener Practice WhatsApp Group Member Charter
I acknowledge the Greener Practice WhatsApp Community exists to extend learning and engagement in relation to the intersection between climate and health. I undertake to participate constructively, professionally and respectfully, with a view to enabling more healthcare workers to take action on the climate and ecological emergency. I will ask permission to share material from this group and acknowledge and credit any resources as appropriate. I will not post any adverts that do not adhere to the Greener Practice CIC Advertising Policy and will ask permission from the Greener Practice directors before posting adverts for profit-making events if unsure whether they adhere to the CIC advertising policy.
I will not post any material which may be perceived as defamatory or use the Greener Practice WhatsApp groups to campaign on behalf of a political party. Guidance from https://www.bma.org.uk/media/mgcjtfj1/bma-social-media-guidance-updated-28-aug-2024.pdf
I will never share or reveal anything that I would not be happy to see printed in a newspaper, I will use caution and common sense and bear in mind that the ethical and legal standards expected of me by the GMC and the broader, less well-defined professional expectations of my peers applies online as in any other part of everyday life. It is wholly my responsibility to seek informed consent before posting any photos of colleagues or patients.
