This study, supported by the UK Research and Innovation Medical Research Council (UKRI MRC), set out to develop a digital toolkit specifically aimed at improving access to green social prescribing among older people living in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. The objective was to create a resource that could support equitable access to green social prescribing (GSP) opportunities for those most affected by health inequalities.

A collaborative approach underpinned the development of the toolkit, named deepgreen.scot. Key stakeholders, including general practitioners (GPs), patients, and community organisations, were actively involved throughout the process. Their collective input ensured that the toolkit was both relevant and practical for staff and patients.

This presentation will explore the co-creation of ‘deepgreen’ and focus on the practical implementation of the toolkit within primary care settings, particularly from the perspective of GPs. Insights will be shared on the collaborative engagement that informed the toolkit’s design, as well as the challenges and opportunities encountered during its introduction to primary care.
