This presentation will explore how gardening and wider contact with nature has been identified as good for health. Additionally, it will explore the way nature connection is being applied across society through public health, health care, social care and education.

Damien Newman, after a career as a psychologist in mental health services became involved in gardening for health over 15 years ago. As Thrives education and consultancy manager he has developed 3 separate higher education curriculums within the subject and supported countless organisations from Cumbria to the Central African Republic to establish gardens for health.
