Greener Practice: Stopping frailty before it starts
Speakers: Dr Anna Kirby

Stopping frailty before it starts: What the ‘Fitter Tomorrow’ programme taught us.
Frailty often begins before it is recognised so early action can make a real difference. This talk from Dr Anna Kirby shares learning from ‘Fitter Tomorrow’, a proactive PCN pilot programme targeted at the often overlooked population group of sedentary, but well, adults aged over 65 who are on the cusp of frailty. Using tailored small-group exercise and education classes at this life turning point, participants improved their strength and fitness, and reported reduced musculoskeletal pain, increased confidence and lasting behaviour change. The session highlights outcomes and practical insights from the programme as well as discussing how you can help the older patients you care for maintain independence and delay or even reverse early frailty.
There are Q&As and an insight into the Greener Practice platform. Frailty Tomorrow Poster below.
