Greener Practice is seeking a Membership and Network Development Officer to work with our Board of Directors and our wider Network members, to support the growth and development of our existing Network, and to promote the multi-faceted work of Greener Practice CIC across the UK.  

What we are looking for in the successful candidate?

Well organised and able to work alone using own initiative, whilst working closely with the Board of Directors  

Familiarity with a range of communication channels including LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Mailerlite 
Good knowledge of the NHS and its various component parts and functions
 
Experience with writing grant applications and fundraising bids.

Ability to attend and run regular, if infrequent, face to face gatherings .

Operational tasks : 

General Outreach, comms and partnership  
Troubleshoot membership issues across our online platform  

Respond to email and online queries regarding the Network  

Support payment process from organisational members  

Manage MailerLite and online channels  

Hands on support for new local groups as they develop and expand  

Seek out, and apply for, funds to strengthen Network coordination, growth and development  

Organise occasional individual meetings with local group leads to establish relationships and provide space for thinking about their ongoing role 

Other relevant tasks as appropriate 
Support the promotion of the new membership platform across the UK 

Link with relevant local, regional and national Networks and initiatives as appropriate  

Ensure the Network as a whole is kept up to date on issues of relevance to the sector via regular comms/newsletter etc
  
Organise regular surveys to assess what members need/want/use/can help with
  
Support communication and liaison between national leads, advisory board, and Board  of Directors 

Co-ordinate and organise occasional face to face gatherings to build the strength of the Network  

Co-ordinate online meetings eg quarterly leads meetings to build the strength of the Network  

Co-ordinate feedback from events and gatherings to ensure it informs future support and activities  

Support development of training materials, and deliver training, to members and groups so they can go forth as Greener Practice “voices” and promote/support/galvanise action, engagement and more members – and generate income for the CIC  

Co-ordinate responses to significant issues to ensure the Network has the opportunity to respond collectively  

Liaise with other Networks to co-develop materials, events, training and promotions

Term 6 months initially with the possibility of 12 months and extension to long term role, depending on 6 month review 

Hours Part-time, 15 hours/week, working remotely and flexibly throughout the week. Hours may be subject to change at 6 month review. Once a year, attendance in person at a Greener Practice team away day.

Volunteers

We have a fantastic group of volunteers who help Greener Practice. We’re happy to welcome volunteers interested in gaining experience in sustainable healthcare. There’s no experience needed and we are also happy for other industry support. If you’d like to get involved, please contact us to learn more about how you can contribute.
