Introduction

A network of GPs in the Wessex area founded in August 2019 by Katherine Edmonson and Ben Rusholme. We believe that climate change is a health crisis and that GPs have a responsibility to make primary care greener. We help GPs share their experiences and ideas to make it easy to be green and save money in the process.

Leadership

Chair: Dr. Christelle Blunden

Christelle is a GP at The Old Fire Station surgery, Southampton. She leads on Green Impact actions for the ICB and recently became a Clean Air champion. She is also undertaking a diploma in lifestyle medicine.

What we do

Recently, we have worked with the North Hampshire CCG vaccination centre to reduce their carbon footprint and started to roll out a scheme for practices to collect medicines packaging for recycling.
