Greener Practice, the UK’s primary care sustainability network, has created a GP Trainee forum to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas on sustainable healthcare between GP Trainees. All are welcome, no prior knowledge of the area is required to join. We welcome GP Trainees working in both GP and hospital settings, as well as other trainees working in GP settings (e.g. Foundation doctors).
The role of the GP in Planetary Health is recognised in the recently updated RCGP curriculum. One benefit of this forum will be to gain ideas and tips for sustainable Quality Improvement projects, which can also count towards the e-portfolio QI and leadership activities.
We have worked with Bradford VTS to produce this useful resource explaining the relationships between planetary health and human health, and our role in this as Doctors.
The forum will have a variety of ways to take part, from zoom calls and drop-in sessions to a WhatsApp group. To sign up please enter your details here: https://forms.gle/cQPH8o1X5WrCkeDA9
