The UK's primary care sustainability network

Wessex

A network of GPs in the Wessex area founded in August 2019. We believe that climate change is a health crisis and that GPs have a responsibility to make primary care greener. We help GPs share their experiences and ideas to make it easy to be green and save money in the process. We share stories of changes local practices are making in the transition to net zero carbon on our social media channels. Please follow on our Facebook page, on Twitter and on Instagram @greengpwessex. Join our private discussion group on Facebook to talk with other local GPs about sustainability at work [GreenGP Wessex Discussion Group]. Recently, we have worked with the North Hampshire CCG vaccination centre to reduce their carbon footprint and started to roll out a scheme for practices to collect medicines packaging for recycling. Please email us at greengpwessex@gmail.com if you have a story to share or would like to work on a project together.
