Wessex
A network of GPs in the Wessex area founded in August 2019. We believe that climate change is a health crisis and that GPs have a responsibility to make primary care greener. We help GPs share their experiences and ideas to make it easy to be green and save money in the process. We share stories of changes local practices are making in the transition to net zero carbon on our social media channels. Recently, we have worked with the North Hampshire CCG vaccination centre to reduce their carbon footprint and started to roll out a scheme for practices to collect medicines packaging for recycling.
