The Herefordshire and Worcestershire area has a group of interested clinicians who have a whatsapp group which you can join. There are no active meetings or chair currently, so this would be an opportunity if anyone from the area wished to take this on. Starting a new group may feel like a big step but it really just needs a few people and a desire to discuss and spread good practice in sustainable primary care, and can by its nature be flexible and responsive to other committments. Co-chairing is often a good way to achieve this balance and many other groups find this works well (as well as being more enjoyable). Please get in touch if this is something you would be interested in!

Point of contact: Alastair Jackson
Alastair is a GP partner in Wyre Forest Health Partnership with an interest in respiratory medicine. Having had an awareness of green issues at home and more widely he recently began to understand the need for primary care to be involved in moving to net zero greenhouse gas emissions in line with the NHS targets. He is currently persuing interests in lifestyle medicine and nutrition, but remains point of contact for the area and would be happy to signpost others if they wished to get in touch and develop the group further.
